Umm. Wow. There’s lots of them. My main one is titled Survival.
What about vegetarians? Those plants could be helping fuel to planet of oxygen. Pro eating plants = pro killing the planet.
There is no argument.
In all seriousness though, eat what the fuck you want. Who cares, as long as you and yours have food. Don’t deny other people food.
Survival: Unless there is some outside force making you unable to be a vegan, such as living in a food desert, meat is not necessary for survival. The American Dietetic Association states that plant based diets, vegetarian or vegan, are nutritionally adequate for all walks of life, including infancy and pregnancy. [x]
Environment: The argument should actually go: Pro eating meat = pro killing the planet. One of the ways it does so is that conservative estimates put industrial livestock production as responsible for up to 50% of rain forest destruction. The rain forest is essentially the Earth’s lungs, so if anything eating meat is depriving the planet of oxygen. [x]
Denying You Food: We currently produce enough food to practically end world hunger. Guess where it doesn’t go? Hungry people. Guess where it does go? Livestock. Eating meat takes food that could go to hungry people who, some of whom are literally dying, and feeding it cattle so you can eat a cut of flesh; something that is unnecessary to your survival. [x]
Our goal isn’t to deny you food. There would be plenty of food available as plant based food is much less resource intensive. Our goal is to not have you kill and exploit sentient beings, and provide food for people who are actually being denied food.
